• 5 apples (tasteful - reinettes, gala, wild apples)
  • 200g flour
  • 150g room temperature butter
  • 100g sugar
  • a pinch of salt
  • a dozen strawberries (mara des bois, wild strawberries)
  • 15 to 20 Croquants from Cordes Maison Bruyère

Depending on the season, you can switch apples and strawberries with other seasonal fruits (pears, peaches, quinces, nectarines, grapes, etc.).

Adjust the cooking time for the fruits.

Crumble pommes fraises

Turn on the oven at 150°C.

Peel the apples and chop them in cubes. Put them in a baking dish and put in the oven and bake the apple cubes for 15 to 20 minutes.

Prepare the crumble dough by mixing flour, sugar and salt. Add the butter and mix with the tips of your fingers. Your dough must be crumbly and coarse.

Remove the apple cubes from the oven and sprinkle the whole strawberries on top (after washing and removing the stem).

Turn up the oven to 180°C

Break up the Croquants from Cordes and place the crumbs on top of the strawberries. Cover with the crumbly dough.

Bake in the oven at 180°C for 25 to 30 minutes or until the crumbles turn brown and golden color.

This crumble can be served cold or warm, sided with a scoop of your favorite ice cream.

Bon appétit!
