This wafer is very thin and light and has no eggs or butter

At the beginning of the twentieth century, a baker from Albi decided to renew with the traditional recipe of the Chalumeaux, related to the Greek “obolios” that was a sort of thin and crispy wafer given during celebration as an offering.

Chalumeaux are thin crispy light wafers flavored with Bourbon vanilla. It can be enjoyed as is or along an ice cream, a custard or a fruit salad. It is also a perfect match with a hot drink anytime of the day.
